Garage Time

So, we have been in our home for 5 years, and I have no idea where the time has gone. When it comes to projects around the house, both Scott and I suffer from not only ADHD, but a lack of time and knowledge (though the latter is more just me).

Other projects that are waiting include: guest bathroom closet needs shelving and a door, Scott's closet is torn up to get to the water pipes for our bathroom, where the shower is not functional, kitchen has no floor (well, it has sub-flooring) door to garage needs to be finished, other window removed and new one installed in garage, exterior of house needs finishing touch-ups (finish trim on windows, etc), all rooms inside of the house need either the plaster repaired or wall board up and painting and we need to re-finish all of the floors. So, just a few projects.

The sad thing with this house it that we start a project that should be fairly quick, and then disaster strikes and we find other things that need to be fixed before that project can be finished. The reason why this is the first and last time we buy an older home that needs to be fixed up.

Anyway, our project over the past three weeks has been the garage. If we can get it organized, not only will we be able to once again park the cars inside, but should have some workspace room to aid when working on projects inside the house. We had a one week break from the garage, as Scott was sick last weekend and we didn't do anything, but we are back to it this weekend.

Anyway, here are some pics of where we are so far.

I would like to say that as of this posting, Scott is at Home Depot getting paint that is 2 shades lighter than what we just got finished with, because he thinks it is too dark for the garage. I say I don't care because we have so much crap that it will be covered up anyway, notice the nice new peg boards? Anyway, it appears he will win and we will be lightening it up later today. Maybe this project will be completed before January. ;)
